About the client
Unity, headquartered in San Francisco, is a global platform for creating and operating real-time 3D (RT3D) content. Their tools support industries like entertainment and engineering, enabling immersive experience creation.
Goal
Unity requested producing nearly 40 courses for their Coursera Specializations. These courses, covering coding, 3D art, gameplay programming, and XR development, were designed to provide learners with globally recognized certifications in Unity’s tools.
Challenges
The project required managing production across multiple global locations, including Mexico, San Francisco, Detroit, and Chicago, while overseeing the project from the UK and Europe. Maintaining consistent audio-visual quality across these diverse filming environments was essential to meet Unity’s standards.
What we did
Blue Carrot implemented a globally coordinated production strategy:
👉 Post-production integration. We blended talking head videos with screencasts, graphics, and branded elements like bumpers and lower thirds to deliver engaging, cohesive courses.
👉 Global coordination. With filming on-site in Mexico, San Francisco, Detroit, and Chicago, our UK and European teams ensured a consistent production process and high quality across all locations.
👉 Standardized workflows. We used standardized equipment and production protocols to guarantee uniform quality across all content from on-site to remote settings.
