Antibiotics — educational video case study

The goal for this video was to explain how antibiotics work and the negative effects they can have. Every year, families face their fair share of colds, sore throats, and viruses. Often times, we expect an antibiotic prescription from our doctor for these illnesses. Antibiotics are considered the keystone of modern medicine, and most of us see no problem using antibiotics as treatment. But did you know their excessive use generates unwanted side effects?

Rather than explaining this idea with complex medical terminology, we decided to take an abstract approach and convey the information emotionally. We illustrated situations that could happen to anyone, showing how the result of antibiotic overuse can be tragic.

The morphing animation used is a combination of complex techniques including traditional animation, morphing, and cutout.
