LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Every video course is designed to achieve a specific set of educational objectives which normally fall into one of six cognitive categories: starting with the basic goals that encompass lower levels of cognitive thinking, such as know β€” “remember & recall”, comprehend β€” “understand”, and apply β€” “put in use”, the e-learning courses progress to higher-level categories, such as analyze β€” “break in parts”, synthesize β€” “put together”, and evaluate β€” “examine & critique”.

Choosing which category of cognitive domain you are going to appeal to helps to precisely develop your course logic and get your learners exactly where you want them to be.

Handle complex subjects

Our award-winning script writers and producers are wired to tackle even the most complicated subjects. Microbiology, economics, political science, finance, high technologies, industrial pharmacy, heavy machinery β€” you name it, we've done it.

Produce potent video content

We create animated videos for e-learning that gain viewer attention, ease information perception and boost engagement. During the e-learning production process we come up with a unique style that is custom made for pursuing both branding and budget needs.

Guide the production process

We help to develop project objectives, map out the structure, and foresee all risks in advance. If you aren’t sure what you want your video to look like, we'll provide the needed knowledge to help you shape your ideas and strategy.

E-LEARNING VIDEO PROCESS & TIMELINES

All e-learning video projects are unique, and thus, their timelines and budgets vary based on graphic complexity and overall length. The four main factors that influence the complexity of the production process are:

  • Subject β€” will you be displaying simple objects or design complex conveyor systems and series of chemical reactions.
  • Audience expectations β€” video courses for Millennials normally include bright and dynamic visuals, while projects targeted at Baby Boomers come in mild colors and with a temperate narrative.
  • Projected ROI and course lifespan β€” whether you are going to run the course once or use it for five years straight.

More complex subjects require a higher level of detail and graphics. Still, even the simplest 2D videos produced by our e-learning animation company come with first-class visual effects, in a fresh and trendy style that helps to boost the client’s brand while keeping learners engaged.

Workflow type β€” Waterfall

Our e-learning video services are geared around Waterfall methodology and include the following stages: Instructional design β€” Scripting β€” Storyboarding β€” Style Development & PrototypingΒ  β€” Voiceover Recording β€” Illustration β€” Animation & Sound Effects. Each stage comes with a QA session conducted by our e-learning animation studio and a few revision rounds with the client to keep us all on the same page.

Boost your learning experience with top-notch video content!

FAQ

What are the crucial steps in the training video production process?

The entire process of live or animated e-learning video production can be broken down into three major stages. During the first stage the team establishes project needs, sets the desired outcomes, gathers information from SMEs and comes up with a script. The second stage encompasses all the activities connected with storyboarding, visual assets and animation creation, voiceover recording, QA, etc. In the final stage the team hands the client a project for a review and adds edits, if needed.

How much does it cost to create an e-learning video?

It depends on the type, complexity and the length of a video you want to get. Usually the price for full cycle development of e-learning video starts from $650 per minute for simple motion-graphics style and goes up for more complex projects that include character animation or 3D. If you want to get a precise estimate for your e-learning or corporate training project, please contact our managers!

Should I choose animated or live video for my project?

The choice of a particular type of a video boils down to the objectives you want to achieve with the instructional design video production. In case you need to produce 30-60 minutes of educational content on complex subjects, and/or don’t have the ability to shoot live content, then choosing animation would be the most suitable option.

If, however, your video course will be longer than 60 minutes, then producing animated videos may become expensive. In such a case it would be better to come up with some sort of ‘talking head’ live video that later can be enhanced with basic animation overlays, for example. This will help you save some budget when opting to training video production services.
