About the client

Catchlight is a platform that helps financial advisors grow their business. The core of their approach is a data analysis through which they identify potential leads. With its ability to gather up to 2,000 data points on a prospect, Catchlight pinpoints suitable leads. Based in Boston, it’s revolutionizing how advisors approach client acquisition with AI-driven insights.

Goal

The very first goal was to introduce Catchlight to a bigger audience. Mainly, Catchlight wanted to demonstrate through a video how its AI technology accelerates lead acquisition and showcases the process: engage leads with targeted messaging and measure what’s driving growth. Overall, the client wanted us to create a clear and understandable explanation of the platform’s benefits for both tech-savvy and non-technical audiences.

Challenges

We did not face any challenges, and the process was smooth and rewarding thanks to the client’s clear request and communication.

What we did

The client provided a draft script, and we developed the main motion graphics video from it. We also produced two shorter cuts to fit other marketing goals.

Project breakdown

Storyboard: We planned out the framing and composition of each shot during the storyboard stage. In the style-framing stage, we refined the visuals and finalized the overall look of the video based on the client's corrections.

Illustrations: After the storyboard was approved, we created the final illustrations that matched the style and layout we agreed upon with the client. Tools: We used Boords for storyboards and illustrations. For animations, we have Frame.io, which is a collaborative tool that lets the client leave feedback on specific sections of the video.

Animation: This is where we brought everything to life. Here, we developed all the movements and transitions between scenes. Once the animation was approved, we added music and sound effects to make the video more complete and impactful.

Results

The video successfully achieved the client’s main goal: showcasing how its AI technology works. The animation has been used by the client for various marketing goals.
