Brainedge is a technology startup that aims to take leadership in the online education industry, challenging giants like Coursera and Udacity. Their primary goal was to tackle two major issues: the high drop-off rates of students in online courses and the limited accessibility of content for non-English-speaking audiences.
Brainedge tackled these challenges by introducing a learn-to-earn system, rewarding students with crypto coins for course progress and performance. They also used AI to make content localization faster, expanding access to global learners.
To validate their hypothesis, Brainedge needed an initial portfolio of courses to be created from scratch and then localized into two additional languages to launch the platform within a reasonable timeframe.
Brainedge was looking to create courses to cover fourteen areas of expertise, from communication and marketing courses to algorithmic trading and blockchain, consisting of:
The challenge was how to create a portfolio from scratch fast, that was cost-effective but yet of high quality and make it happen within 4 months.
We mapped user needs to existing courses, selecting and adapting the best materials to fit Brainedge’s guidelines—covering 70% of the catalog.
For the remaining 30%, we used ChatGPT for draft development. Instructional designers structured videos, added content and exercises, and SMEs ensured accuracy.
We used templated graphics to maintain brand consistency while speeding up production and reducing costs. These assets enabled quick edits and seamless integration of illustrative elements.
We used Heygen AI to localize videos into Spanish and French, replicating the speaker’s voice and adjusting lip-sync for a seamless, efficient translation.
To reduce production time and costs we used AI platform MidJourney, which generated graphics for the course thumbnails in the LMS.
We chose an LMS that supports dynamic xAPI packages, enabling course updates without disruption and allowing SCORM/xAPI exports for seamless integration with third-party platforms.
Developed a comprehensive curriculum map to structure the learning plan.

We delivered all 94 courses on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. We completed the project in just four months by reusing content, using AI tools, and creating templated assets. This helped Brainedge launch its e-learning platform quickly and reach a global audience with localized content.
