Punahou — global Aloha explainer video case study

Punahou School, founded in 1841 in Honolulu, Hawaii, is a renowned K-12 institution dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and innovation. With a strong emphasis on leadership, creativity, and global citizenship, Punahou provides students with a dynamic learning environment that prepares them for future success.

We got a request from the Punahou school for the creation of an introduction and safety video for a new software platform that they developed called Global Aloha. They wanted to ensure that there was some preventative safety training embedded in the system. Punahou didn’t have a cool video intro yet, so putting the two together was their goal.

The main message: Be safe. Have fun. Make a difference in the world. Connect with like-minded people on common projects.

2 min explainer video done in Hawaiian style with Aloha spirit. The characters were developed based on the real students of Punahou school. To achieve the atmosphere a lot of local things, such as plants, creatures, clothes, and so on were visualized.

The final video provided Punahou School with an engaging and culturally resonant introduction to their platform. It not only enhanced user understanding but also ensured that safety training was seamlessly integrated into the experience.
